Meet the Judge
Judge Jacqueline Franklin
Judge Jacqueline Franklin’s story begins in southwest Houston, where she was raised with a strong commitment to family, community, faith, and service. A graduate of Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Jacqueline has built her career in the courtroom—from prosecuting felony cases and trying more than 35 jury trials to practicing civil litigation and helping resolve cases through mediation.
As part of her Houston upbringing, Jacqueline learned the importance of community, responsibility, and giving back. She is proud to bring that perspective to the bench and to serve the community where her story began. Today, Jacqueline and her husband are raising their two children in southwest Houston, where family remains at the heart of the life they have built together.
Appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the newly created 513th Civil District Court in Harris County, Judge Franklin brings a practical courtroom perspective, a commitment to fairness, and a deep respect for every person who enters her courtroom.
